Thoughts about Life, Culture, and the Journey into Faith

Soul Camper

There comes times in all our lives that we can find ourselves at a standstill. We feel we have had our fill and we decide to pitch a tent and refuse to go futher. God, help me not to wallow in the midst of apathy. I don't want numbness; I want passion! I don't want fear; I want faith! I don't want the bright lights of Sodom, but the bright light of the Word guiding me to the promise. No pitching a tent tonight I have a journey ahead.

Coffee & Creator

Well, I just returned from a visit to a local Christian Coffeehouse called Homers. Looking around and seeing the community of the people sharing life was inspiring. The place was packed.

I sat opposite a man who accepted Jesus three years ago. Our conversation drifted with strange awareness that God was leading and guiding. It was really refreshing! We talked for a few hours about God, life and culture. That is why my heart beats... discipleship in community... growing together in Christ.

The Story

Well, this is a first. I've never really chronicled my thoughts before, but I figure it's about time. I've never really been satisfied with a normal Christian walk. I feel at times that I am playing a role in someone else's story. The story doesn't satisfy me.

The author is creative and dangerous. I want to walk off the pages and into the story of out of the box Christianity. I know there is more and God's path for me is slowly being pieced together in my life.

Here's to starting a new story.
