As followers of Jesus we are not called to withdraw from culture, but flavor it.

“I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.”  John 17:15-18 (ESV)

Northwind Church is a community of people who embrace a holistic lifestyle filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit.  Reaching out to the world around them, their radical adherence to the teachings of Christ begs the notice of a world characterized by empty pursuits and broken relationships.  

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”  Matthew 5:13-16

It’s time believers stop hiding from the world and go out and transform it.
